Cajun Alfredo with Smoked Sausage & Bowtie Pasta

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz Bow Tie Pasta (Farfalle)
  • 12 oz Pkg Smoked Sausage I like to use Eckrich Turkey Smoked Sausage
  • 2 Cups Heavy Cream
  • 4 TBSP Butter divided
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning or your favorite cajun seasoning, to taste
  • 1/2-3/4 Cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Boil pasta until done, set aside. While pasta boils, slice sausage into 1/2 inch slices. Add 2 Tbsp of the butter to a skillet, and saute the sausage on medium heat until golden brown, flipping it over so both sides are golden. Once sausage is done, remove from skillet. Add the other 2 Tbsp butter, then add the garlic. Saute garlic until just fragrant. Add heavy cream to skillet, stir in Cajun seasoning. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to simmer, then add cheese. Turn heat down to low, and stir constantly until cheese is melted (or almost melted) and mixture has started to thicken. Remove from heat, and add sausage back to the skillet/sauce mix. Once noodles are done, drain, and add to sausage mixture. Mix well and serve, topped with a little parmesan cheese.
