Sausage Gravy
Creamy, country style gravy.
Ingredients
- 1 Lb. Breakfast Sausage
- 1/2 Cup All purpose flour
- 4 Cups Whole or 2 % Milk
- 1/2 Cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp pepper or to taste
Instructions
- Fry sausage in skillet, breaking up into small chunks as it cooks. When sausage is browned, add flour. On medium heat, thoroughly incorporate flour into the undrained sausage. Add milk, heavy cream, salt and pepper. Stir continuously until the gravy thickens. Remove from heat and serve.

Notes
- Make sure to incorporate flour really well into the undrained sausage before adding the milk. This helps prevent the flour from clumping.
